Lil Rev & Ray Cygrymus – Ukulele Workshops + Concert

• 7:15–8:15 PM – Workshop 2: Blues Ukulele 102 with Lil Rev
• 8:30–9:30 PM – Concert featuring Lil Rev & Ray Cygrymus

Join us for a powerhouse evening of workshops and live music with two nationally recognized uke instructors and performers!

Workshop 1: Rock Techniques for Ukulele with Ray Cygrymus (6:00–7:00 PM)
Explore riffs, licks, singalongs, solos, and rock strum patterns in this upbeat session perfect for any uke player interested in adding some edge to their playing. With over 30 years of classroom experience and a passion for all things rock 'n' roll, Ray makes learning both fun and accessible.

Workshop 2: Blues Ukulele 102 with Lil Rev (7:15–8:15 PM)
Get ready to dive into boogie-woogie, blues turnarounds, shuffle strums, triplet strokes, and more. This multi-level class is ideal for players familiar with basic chords (major, minor, 7ths) and tab reading. Lil Rev’s signature teaching style blends technique, tradition, and soulful fun.

Evening Concert: Lil Rev & Ray Cygrymus (8:30–9:30 PM)
Cap off the night with a collaborative concert as these two seasoned artists swap tunes and showcase blues, rock, and folk favorites on ukulele and more.

About the Artists:

Ray Cygrymus
A Pittsburgh-based educator and Kala Ambassador, Ray has spent over 30 years teaching general and instrumental music while bringing fresh, high-energy ukulele instruction to players of all levels. He’s known for his engaging rock-themed curriculum and dynamic performance style.

Lil' Rev (Marc Revenson)
A beloved performer and educator in the ukulele world, Lil Rev blends American roots music, blues, and storytelling into every lesson and set. A Hal Leonard author, 1996 National Blues Harmonica Champ, and voted Best Folksinger in WI in 2004, his teachings are both soulful and skill-building.
