About Brien

Brien Thorpe is a credentialed elementary school teacher with an extensive background in early childhood education and music. Since 2000, he has been teaching both elementary music classes and private lessons, helping students build strong musical foundations in a supportive and engaging environment.

With experience in classical, folk, rock, and pop styles, Brien offers instruction in violin, piano, guitar, ukulele, recorder, and beginner percussion, as well as early childhood musical experiences designed to introduce young students to music through hands-on learning.

In addition to his teaching career, Brien has spent over 10 years touring with various ensembles, performing at The White House and Constitution Hall. His real-world performance experience brings an exciting and dynamic approach to his lessons, inspiring students to develop both technical skills and musical expression.
