6-7PM WORKSHOP "Play One Uke, Sound like Two!" for Intermediate Ukulele Players: "We will learn a new way of playing I personally developed that allow us to play melody and chords (and sing!) at the same time, arrangement tricks to play along with other uke players of different skills, and the campanella style that will make our scales resound." - Ukulollo 7:15-8:30PM CONCERT: Ukulollo will be playing songs from his latest album "Tales From The South Seas" and entertain us with some new surprising arrangements on the ukulele. Joining Ukulollo on stage will be The Strum Shop's very own Dan Elliott on Bass Guitar & Ariel Elliott on vocals!
Ukulollo is Lorenzo Vignando, an Italian Ukulele player from Lucca – Tuscany. In 2009 his arrangment of Ravel’s Bolero for 4 ukuleles, percussions and acoustic bass got thousands of views in in few days on youtube, bringing him to the ukulele community attention.
He uses this splitting technic also for his live sets, duetting with
himself and other virtual guests projected on a round screen beside him.
Performing in this way he toured the world, from Italy to England,
from Spain to France, Belgium and Germany, from Israel to USA, to Australia and New Zealand, to Hong Kong and Singapore. And now he’s touring the cinemas using the big screen as well.
He pubblished 4 Original Albums and a Cover Songs one.
Ukulollo’s videos got several prizes and nominations on the most
important ukulele websites like Ukulele Underground and Ukulele hunt.
Ukulollo is an ambassador of Ukulele’s for Peace, the wonderful
project run by Paul Moore which gathers together Jewish and Arab Children into a Ukulele orchestra in the state of Israel.
He Plays Ohana Ukuleles with aquila strings and Living Waters Strings.
